Walter Dean Patrick

Walter Dean Patrick, 74, a beloved member of the Houston community passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the New Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Albany, MS. He was born on March 24, 1949, in Mississippi, Walter was the cherished son of the late Otto Patrick (Father) and  the late Odessa Boyd-Patrick (Mother).

Walter lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to his family and friends. He touched the lives of many people with his kind heart and infectious smile. He will be remembered as a loving husband to his wife, the late Bettye Sue Pierce - Patrick, who stood by his side through thick and thin.

Walter's impact extended beyond his immediate family. He was an active member of the Houston community and someone who genuinely cared about making a difference in the lives of others. 

His passion for service extended to his spiritual life as well. Walter was a devoted member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Houston. His faith played a significant role in shaping his character and guiding his actions throughout his life.

Family and friends will gather at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday,  December 31, 2023, to honor Walter's memory and celebrate the beautiful life he lived. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. The church is located at 1459 County Road 402, Houston, MS 38851.

While we mourn the loss of our dear Walter Dean Patrick, let us also remember the joy he brought into our lives. His genuine warmth and unwavering support will forever remain etched in our hearts. As we gather to say our final goodbyes in this earthly realm, let us celebrate the love, laughter, and beautiful memories he has left behind.
