Travis Carnell Murphy

 Travis Carnell Murphy, 72, born on July 1, 1953, in Purdy, Tennessee, departed this life on Monday, November 3, 2025, at his home on Hwy 9 S. in Slate Springs, Mississippi. He was a devoted husband, father, and brother, and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Travis was cherished by his beloved wife, Geraldine Tillman Murphy, and their son, Tory Murphy, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Sharon Hudson, Bertha Mae Hudson, and Pamela Hudson, who shared many treasured moments and memories with him throughout their lives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Hurst, and his mother, Dorothy Murphy, who welcomed him into this world and instilled in him the values that he carried throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life honoring Travis will be held on November 8, 2025, Private for Family Only, in Bruce, Mississippi. 

Travis Carnell Murphy’s legacy will live on through the love of his family, the memories shared among those he touched, and the values he imparted to all.
