Tommie Lee Marion, 76, a dedicated member of the Coffeeville community and a long-time employee of the Coffeeville Schools maintenance department, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. He was born on July 16, 1948, in Coffeeville, Mississippi, where he spent the majority of his life.
Tommie was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job, serving the local schools with pride and ensuring that children had a safe and clean environment to learn. His contributions to the community were felt not only in his professional capacity but also through his many personal connections and friendships.
He is survived by his beloved son, Tony Hall, and daughter, Lisa Hall. Tommie is also survived by his 3 brothers, John Thomas Marion, Perry Marion, and James Marion, along with his 5 sisters, Stella Collins, Susie Smith, Shirley Malone, Mary Steen, and Mattie Sims. Their lives will forever be enriched by his memory, and they will cherish the moments spent together.
Tommie was preceded in death by his father, Earl Marion, and his mother, Louise Hoskin Marion, who undoubtedly shaped the values he carried throughout his life. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Lee and Betty Marion; and his brother, Robert Marion.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jackson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Bruce, Mississippi, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Tommie's life and legacy during these services.
As we remember Tommie Lee Marion, let us reflect on his kindness, dedication, and the lasting impact he had on those around him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
