Tillmore Everett, Jr.

Tillmore Everett, Jr., 84, a lifelong resident of Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Plantation Point @ Windsor Place Nursing & Rehabilitation in Columbus, MS. He was born on July 5, 1942, in Monroe County, MS. Tillmore devoted his life to his family, his community, and the land he loved.

Tillmore was the son of the late Tillmore Everett, Sr. and Mary Washington. Guided by the values of hard work and compassion instilled by his parents, he dedicated his working life to farming. The rhythms of the land shaped not just his career, but his outlook on life—one marked by perseverance, diligence, and an abiding respect for nature’s cycles.

He was a proud and loving father, and his legacy is carried on by his children: Floyd Robinson, Alice Robinson, Queen Ester Clay, Dr. Peggy Everett Bush. Each of them reflects a part of his guiding spirit, patience, and unwavering commitment to family. Tillmore’s influence as a parent, and role model will endure in the hearts and actions of those he leaves behind.

Tillmore was preceded in death by his father, Tillmore Everett, Sr., and his mother, Mary Washington. Their guidance and love were constant sources of inspiration throughout his journey.

Family, friends, and all who knew Tillmore are invited to remember his well-lived life during services at Mount Union Missionary Baptist Church, 10260 MS Hwy 25 South, Aberdeen, MS 39730. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00 p.m. Together, the community will gather to honor a man whose steady presence and steadfast heart touched many.
