Tabatha Ann Rainey - Woods, 58, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in her hometown of Amory, Monroe County, Mississippi. She was born on July 15, 1968, in the same close-knit community that nurtured her spirit and inspired the deep roots she maintained throughout her life.

Tabatha's gentle and compassionate nature touched many through both her personal and professional endeavors. Known for her dedication to caring for others, she served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Through her work, Tabatha brought comfort, warmth, and kindness to countless individuals and their families—her selflessness and steady presence left an indelible mark on those she served.

Family was always at the heart of Tabatha's world. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Donell Woods, and their two sons, Marcus Woods and Michael Deandre Woods, who will remember her as a pillar of strength and unconditional love. Her siblings—Curtis Rainey (and his wife, Melissa), Willie E. Rainey, James Earl Rainey, Charles Rainey, Anna Pierce (and her husband, Coral), Zettie Mae Rainey, and Cecelia Harrison (and her husband, Chico)—mourn the loss of their cherished sister, each carrying forward the bonds of affection, laughter, and support that defined their family.

Tabatha is preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses Rainey and Ida Mae Williams - Rainey, and her brother, Billy C. Rainey. Their legacies live on in the memories and stories retold by those they have left behind.

Beyond her professional life and family, Tabatha found joy in the simple pleasures—she was known for her love of shopping and her passion for cooking. Her kitchen was a gathering place where delicious aromas mingled with heartfelt conversations and laughter. The family will receive friends during visitation on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Rose of Sharon Church Of God In Christ, located at 1206 United Memorial Drive, Amory, MS 38821. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Interment will take place at Masonic Cemetery on A Avenue in Amory, MS.
