With deep respect and loving remembrance, we honor the life of Sonya Kaye Jones, 59, who departed this world on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.. Born on November 15, 1966, to Joe Louis Jones (Father) and Barbara Walker (Mother), Sonya’s journey was marked by dedication, compassion, and a steadfast love for her family and community.

Sonya’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Her role as a Health and Beauty Associate at Walmart Supercenter in Amory, Mississippi reflected both her professional dedication and her genuine care for others. Colleagues and customers alike knew Sonya as someone who brightened every room with her presence, always ready with encouragement, advice, and a listening ear.

The heart of Sonya’s world was her family. She is also lovingly survived by her sons, Javoni Jones and Jaiden Jones. Her devotion to them was steadfast and unwavering, embodying a selflessness that shaped their lives and left a legacy of love, resilience, and acceptance. Sonya’s commitment as a mother was evident in every aspect of her life, from the wisdom she shared to the comfort she provided during times both joyful and challenging.

Sonya’s absence is deeply felt, but the memories of her laughter, guidance, and unconditional support will continue to guide those who held her dear. Her legacy endures in the hearts of her children, in the cherished recollections of friends and colleagues, and in the countless small moments made extraordinary by her generous spirit.

Services to honor and celebrate Sonya Kaye Jones’s life will commence with a visitation on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, 216 Hwy 25 South, Aberdeen, MS. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 20622 Egypt Road, Aberdeen, MS. The burial will take place at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery, Whitfield Street, Aberdeen, MS. 

As her community gathers to remember Sonya, we are reminded of a life lived with grace and generosity. Though she has passed beyond our sight, her spirit and influence remain a lasting part of all who had the privilege to know her.
