Rosie Mae McIntosh, 74, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, friend, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Piedmont Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. She was born on December 29, 1949, in Arkansas to her loving parents, Roosevelt Metcalf and Lucille Young, who have now gone on before her. Rosie is also preceded in death by her husband: Henry Earl McIntosh, Sr.; one daughter: Tiffany McIntosh; and one brother: Bobbie Lee Davis.
Rosie's life will be celebrated and honored during two significant events. A visitation will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Following this, a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM at Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Mississippi.
Throughout her life, Rosie touched the hearts of many with her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends. Rosie leaves behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories.
In mourning her departure, Rosie is survived by her three sons: Gregory M. (Kumisha) Metcalf, Henry Earl (Shemeika) McIntosh, Jr., and Eric Jermain (Ever) McIntosh; as well as her three brothers: Theodore Metcalf, Billy J. (Kerstin) Davis, Robert Lee (Henritta) Davis; and four sisters: Angnes Marie Key, Gloria Ann (Rosager) Clark, Elizabeth (George) Hammond, and Sylvia Boone; two sisters-in-law: Linda Griffin and Roslyn McIntosh. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rosie's memory will forever be cherished by those who loved her.
As we come together to honor Rosie's life and legacy, let us find comfort in the joy she brought to each of us. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all.
