With profound respect and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Rosie M. Grissom, 94, who left this world on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Born on March 3, 1932, Rosie’s long life was distinguished by grace, resilience, and a steadfast devotion to her family and those she held dear.
Rosie’s memory will forever be treasured by her surviving siblings: her brothers, John Perkins and Fred Perkins, and her sisters, Inez Lenoir and Lucille Clay. The love and connection shared among them was a cornerstone of Rosie’s life, offering her both comfort and joy throughout the years. She also carried in her heart the cherished memory of her late parents, Willie Perkins and Arteria Davis - Perkins, whose guidance and care shaped her journey from the very beginning.
While this moment brings sorrow to those who knew and loved Rosie, it is also a time to honor her remarkable legacy. Rosie’s life was marked by unwavering kindness, strength through adversity, and an enduring concern for the wellbeing of family. The depth of her relationships reflected her character—gentle, steadfast, and nurturing—a living testament to the bonds she cultivated across the decades.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home. Friends, family, and all who knew Rosie are invited to join in honoring her life and legacy. A Celebration of Life will be held at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, Mississippi, on Sunday, August 16, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Following this tribute, Rosie will be laid to rest at Mount Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy 25 South, Aberdeen, Mississippi, on the same day.
Rosie M. Grissom leaves behind a legacy of love, dignity, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her presence in the lives of her siblings and all who loved her will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
