Robert Earl Spratt, 70, born July 10, 1955, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee. Robert, affectionately known as "Pinkcom" and "Orange", led a life marked by service, dedication, and loyal commitment to both family and country.
Robert’s roots ran deep in Aberdeen, where he was born to the late Jessie Spratt and Callie M. Davis. His early years in Mississippi shaped the integrity and character that would guide him throughout his life. Robert’s family was a central part of his identity, and he shared close bonds with his siblings. He is lovingly remembered by his surviving brother, Douglas Spratt, and his sisters, Mary Spratt, Birdie Ephriam, and Gracie Henley. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Spratt and Jimmie Spratt. The passing of his parents, Jessie and Callie, also leaves a profound sense of loss in the hearts of all who knew this close-knit family.
Determined to serve his country, Robert proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he embodied the values of honor, courage, and commitment. His military service was just one chapter in a life dedicated to helping others. After his time in the Armed Forces, Robert built a meaningful career as a counselor at the VA Administration. Through this work, he provided support and guidance to countless veterans, leading with empathy and understanding born of shared experience.
Robert was not only dedicated to his professional calling and familial responsibilities, but he also had a deep passion that brought him joy—the Pittsburgh Steelers. As an avid fan, he followed the team’s fortunes faithfully, finding camaraderie and pleasure in each season, regardless of the outcome.
Friends, colleagues, and family alike will always remember Robert for his unwavering integrity, his warm presence, and his willingness to listen and help. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched personally and professionally, and in the bonds that hold his family together.
