Richard Letrion Floyd

Richard Letrion Floyd, 43, a dedicated truck driver with JSJ Trucking and a subcontractor for FedEx, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Algoma, Mississippi. He was born on June 27, 1982, in Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi.

Richard was a loving husband to Aimee Elizabeth Glidden-Floyd and a devoted father to his three daughters, Ainsley Ruth, Gillian Floyd, and Allison Floyd. He was known for his steadfast commitment to his family and his profession. His exemplary work ethic and sense of responsibility were hallmarks of his character and left an indelible impression on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his mother, Mamie Dianne Johnson; his brother, Jeremy Pegues; and his sisters, Carolyn Floyd and Tangie Pegues. Richard was predeceased by his father, Richard Lee Floyd.

In honor of Richard's life, visitation services will be held at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Ecru, Mississippi, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A celebration of life service will follow on Friday, December 19, 2025, at The Orchard Church in Tupelo, Mississippi, beginning at 12:00 noon.

Richard Letrion Floyd will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
