There is a rhythm to life. We are born, live by God's permission, and die by God's authoritarian command. Rashean Oliver Hyde was given permission to be born December 9, 1972 to Russell and Lois Oliver in Chicago, Illinois. She was blessed with thirty-nine years before taking her eternal rest on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

Rahean completed her preliminary education in the Aberdeen School System. She went on to earn her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS. She was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the Coretta Social Club.

She sought and secured her spiritual life by accepting Christ at an early age at New Hebron MB Church in Aberdeen, MS. Her spiritual maturity was enhanced when she joined Charity Mission Full Gospel Baptist Church in 1992, under the leadership of Bishop Bobby L. McCarter, Sr, where she served faithfully in the Mass Choir, the Vacation Ministry, and as a contributing writer for The Glory Magazine.

On October 10, 1996, Rashean married the absolute love of her life, Mr. Larry Hyde. Their union produced two wonderful blessings, Larry Hyde, II and Indya Ma'kel Hyde.

Rashean was a gifted educator at Stokes-Beard Magnet School for fifteen years and an exceptional tutor in the community. She inspired every life she touched, and she touched many, many lives. She received numerous professional awards including two-time Teacher of the Year at Stokes-Beard and Teacher of the year for the Columbus Municipal School District.

Rashean lived her life to the fullest according to Roman 8:28, as she prayerfully asked God,"Lord, what is it you want me to do?" When He responded by telling her to LIVE and tell others how He healed her, that is exactly what she did. Rashean was and is healed.....and in her own words....she entrusted her life to God, and forever maintained that the joy of the Lord was her strength. She asked us to not feel sorry for her, but to live our lives to the fullest and forever proclaim God's goodness and glory in every situation we face.

Rashean was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Walker, of Aberdeen, MS.
