Aberdeen

Deacon Paul Samuel Peters III, 72, lovingly known as Paul, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen, MS. He was a devoted family man, a proud United States Air Force Veteran, and a talented A & B Operator at Kerr McGee [Tronox] until his retirement.

Born on April 11, 1951, in Nashville - Davidson County - Tennessee, Paul had an early introduction to hard work and determination through the strong values instilled by his father, Paul S. Peters Jr., and his mother, Juanita Talley. These values shaped him into the remarkable individual he grew up to be.

Paul's dedication to his country was evident as he proudly served in the United States Air Force. His time in the military not only granted him invaluable experiences but also fostered traits of discipline and camaraderie that lasted throughout his life.

After completing his honorable service to the nation, Paul joined Kerr McGee [Tronox] where he worked as an A & B Operator until his well-deserved retirement. His commitment to excellence and strong work ethic won him the admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Paul served as an ordained Deacon in his church, Johnson Chapel Holiness Church in Aberdeen, MS.

Outside of his professional life, Paul had a passion for various hobbies and interests that brought joy to both himself and those around him. He had a natural talent for welding and took great pleasure in crafting intricate BBQ grills known for their durability and superior performance. Additionally, he was famous among family and friends for his delectable homemade Peanut/Pecan Brittle that always left taste buds begging for more.

As much as Paul found solace in his chosen hobbies, nothing could compare to the love he shared with his family. Paul leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and devotion. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Irish Geneva Peters.

Paul's memory will forever be cherished by his children: Tony V. Grear, Tracy Grear, and Tasha Grear. His love for them knew no bounds, and he always prioritized their happiness and well-being above all else. He leaves behind a treasure trove of memories that fill their hearts with warmth and love.
