Michael McKinney

Michael McKinney, 27, affectionately known as "Jay Gee," passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Shannon, MS. Born on June 25, 1998, in Chickasaw County, MS, Michael was a cherished son, brother, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched many lives.

Michael dedicated his professional life to his role as a Router Operator at Ashley Furniture, where he showcased both skill and commitment. His work ethic and dedication to his job were evident to all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Michael Vance and Linda McKinney, and his siblings: brother Ira McKinney, and sisters Jasmine McKinney, Seely Moore, and Sophia Harper. The warmth and love of his family were paramount in Michael's life, and they will carry his memories in their hearts forever.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Mays Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsboro, MS, where those who knew and loved him can gather to honor his memory at this time.
