Mattie Sue Blanchard was born on August 29, 1939 to Ms Lou Ada Gates of Aberdeen,MS. She departed this life on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Verona,MS

She confessed hope in Christ and joined First Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Sue McFarland; her brother, George Hoskin; and her neice, Marie McFarland.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a mother Lou Ada Gated; three sons- Michael Blanchard(Josephine) of Tupelo,MS; Jerome(Shirley) and Randy(Angie) Blanchard of Aberdeen,MS; three daughters; Barbara, Frances and Sandy Blanchard all of Aberdeen,MS; Two sisters- Verna Jones9Bo) and Annette Dawkins(Clyde) of Anaheim,CA; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces,nephews,cousins and friends. Special mention; Willie James Smith and Annette Wright.
