Lillian Armetria Freeman

Lillian Armetria Freeman, 78, born on March 24, 1947, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, peacefully departed this world on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital ~ GT  in Columbus, Mississippi. She was a beloved Nurse Assistant at Northshore JLS, where she dedicated her career to caring for others with utmost compassion and kindness.

Lillian's legacy extends beyond her professional life; she was deeply revered as both a Church Mother and State Mother, roles that exemplified her unwavering commitment to her faith and community. Her contributions were felt by many, as she provided guidance, support, and love to those around her.

She leaves behind a devoted family, including her brothers Lorniza Freeman, James Freeman, Lester Freeman, and Thomas Freeman, as well as her sisters Carrie Gibson, Shirley Diggs, and Linda Meadows. Their lives were enriched by her nurturing spirit and the values she instilled in them.

Lillian was preceded in death by her dear parents, Roosevelt Freeman and Mable Word-Freeman, who undoubtedly had a profound influence on her life and character.

A visitation to celebrate Lillian’s life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at Tabernacle Of Faith Church Of The Living God in Amory, Mississippi, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Lillian Freeman's memory will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her impact on countless lives will not be forgotten. She will be deeply missed but cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
