Kevin Byrd, 62, a cherished member of the Mississippi community, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in Bruce, MS. Born on July 15, 1963, in Charleston, Tallahatchie County, MS, Kevin’s life was marked by deep roots and meaningful connections in the places he called home.

Throughout the years, Kevin’s presence brought warmth and kindness to all who knew him. His journey began in Charleston, where he formed the foundation of character and resilience that would define his life. For many, Kevin was a steadfast friend, a thoughtful neighbor, and a familiar face whose generosity and humility left lasting impressions.

Family and friends will remember Kevin not only for the milestones and events that marked his years but for the way he faithfully honored his relationships and community. He celebrated life’s joys and met its challenges with characteristic resilience, modeling grace for others.

To honor Kevin’s memory, services will be held at Jackson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 103 Evers Drive, Bruce, MS 38915. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 p.m. All who knew Kevin are invited to join in remembering a life lived with integrity and compassion.
