Jordan Tagger died on June 10, 2011 in Markham, Ill. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Markham, Ill. He leaves a spouse, Mrs. Lola Lee Tagger daughter of Mrs. Obbie Lee Morgan of Hamilton, MS.

Jordan Tagger, a Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Mentor, was born on July 23, 1941 in Aberdeen,MS to Sarah Harrison and Nathaniel Little. On the dawn of June 10th Jordan succumbed to an illness at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Eddie, Thomas, Jacob and James.
At the age of 19 Jordan married Lola Brand. To this union three children were born; Paul, Felecia and Samaria. The family moved from Brockton in 1963 to Chicago. Although the family lived in Chicago, Aberdeen was always regarded as home.
In Chicago, Jordan joined the Masonic Order and became a 33rd Degree Mason. His political invovement was vast. He was a former Democratic area leader for the Bremen Township. In that position he helped numerous people achieve their political goals.
Jordan served as Commissioner on the zoning/Planning Board of the Cith of Markham for 14 years. He had a love and dedication to the City of Markham and will be surely missed. In his short time on this earth, he mentored to 100's of men and women and touched their lives in profound ways.
His legacy will continue through the birth of his eleven grandchildren whom he loved very much. After two decades Jordan retired from the Cook County Forest Dept. He spent his last years with his wife Lola. He was well known for his chicken sausage, souse meat and wine recipes. He was also known and loved for always having a good joke. He will be missed.
Jordan Tagger will forever be remembered for his generosity and love of his family. His memory will be carried by his children, grandchildren, and sisters; Sarah Ridgell (AK), Roseanna Watson (MA), Jeanette Bradshaw (MA, Edna Simmons (MS), Dora Fernandes (MA), Barbara Holland(NC), Annie Thomas (MS); Jordan also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also Bernard Grier who loved as a son.
