In the heart of a world still fresh and unfolding, a luminous spirit graced us with its brief but beautiful presence. Baby Jaylen Cortez Wofford, Jr., Infant, born on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center ~ Gilmore in Amory, MS, arrived as a radiant gift to his loving family. In a fleeting moment that felt both eternal and poignantly ephemeral, Jaylen departed this life on the same day, leaving behind an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were privileged to dream of a future alongside him.

Though his time with us was brief, Jaylen's existence shone brightly with hope and promise. His parents, Jaylen Wofford (Father) and Allison Willis (Mother), reveled in the joy of their newborn son, capturing moments that would forever echo in their hearts. The world had just begun to open its arms to Jaylen, gifting him with the caress of gentle winds and the warmth of sunlight filtering through tender leaves. In every sigh, every heartbeat, there nestled dreams that would never fully blossom but will forever remain a cherished symphony of love in the lives he touched. Jaylen is survived by his Parents, Allison Willis (Mother) and Jaylen Wofford, Sr. (Father); Grandparents: Sonjaneka Orr & Jarvis Orr; David Willis & Mickey Willis; Gaylor Wofford & Clayton Wofford, Jr.; and a Host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

As we gather in sorrow and celebration, we invite friends and family to join us for a graveside service at the Pleasant Plain Missionary Baptist Church Sunset Garden in Prairie, MS. On Sunday, February 8, 2026, we will come together at 3:30 PM, sharing tears and laughter as we honor a life that, while fleeting, was filled with grace and light. Collectively, we will fill the air with memories yet to be forged, cradling the spirit of Jaylen within our hearts forevermore.

In this bittersweet symphony of beginnings and endings, may we always remember Jaylen Wofford—not only as the son of two devoted parents but also as a symbol of love, an enduring light that will forever shine in our memories and dreams.
