James Herbert Collins

James Herbert Collins, 79,  a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center/Gilmore in Amory, MS. He was born on April 26, 1945, in Toledo - Lucas County - Ohio, to his parents Mac Lee Collins and Gertrude Green-Collins.

James proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, where achieved the rank of SP4 (T), showcasing his dedication to his country and fellow servicemen.

He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members: his sons:  Charles Hamilton, Tony Lipkins, and Kim Lipkins; daughters:  Marcia Lee Collins - Lighten and Angela Koonce; brothers:  Mack Collins, Tommy Collins, Chester Collins, Craig Collins, Kent Collins, and David Collins; sisters:  Lottie Johnson and Bernice Collins.

James is predeceased by his father:  Mac Lee Collins and mother:  Gertrude Green-Collins. He is also preceded in death by his sisters:  Lynn Collins and Jane Collins.

A Visitation service to pay respects to James will be held on Sunday,  July 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen. This will be followed by a Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM at the same location. The address for the funeral home is 216 Hwy 25 South in PO Box 129 Aberdeen, MS.

James Herbert Collins will forever be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
