Listen to Obituary

Jacqueline Marie "Ree" Anderson Griffin, 56, born July 7, 1969, in Aberdeen, MS, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Heritage Villa Nursing Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  She was the cherished daughter of Elzie and Katie Mae Anderson. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

Jacqueline grew up with a vibrant personality that made her unforgettable.  Known affectionately as "Ree", she was full of life, laughter, and boldness.  She never hesitated to speak her mind and was often the loudest voice in the room, bringing joy, humor, and energy wherever she went.  Her presence lifted spirits, and her laughter filled spaces with warmth.

On July 10, 1994, Jacqueline was united in matrimony to Ivan Griffin.  Although their marriage later ended in October 2014, she carried the memories and experiences of that chapter with gratitude and love throughout her life.

In 2010, Jacqueline embraced a fresh start, leaving Mississippi for Kansas and Oklahoma.  This new chapter reflected her courage, resilience, and determination to create a life filled with possibility.

Jacqueline is preceded in death by her sister, Regina Ann Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her Parents: Elzie and Kattie Anderson; her Daughters: Tieasha Griffin and Aaliyah Griffin; Brothers: Dr. Henry "Lee" Moton, Barry Lynn Keaton, Elzie (Jasna) Anderson, Jr., and Terry LaShurn Anderson; Sisters: Alisha Connors and Zenobia Allen; Uncles: Joe Caruthers and George Moton; Aunts: Deola (Dennis) Lindsey, Katherine Moton, and Lena Mae Moton. Grandchildren: four beautiful grandchildren who brought her immense joy, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Jacqueline's legacy is one of bold laughter, deep love, and a spirit that refused to dim.  Her memory will continue to shine brightly in all who knew her.
