Jacklyn Ezell, 58, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital ~ Calhoun in Calhoun City, MS. Born on November 17, 1967, in Vardaman, Calhoun County, MS, Jacqueline dedicated her life to the compassionate care and support of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on her community and colleagues alike.
Jacklyn's unwavering commitment to her work at the North MS Regional Center exemplified her kind and selfless spirit. Her dedication to improving the lives of others through attentive and empathetic care was a testament to her character and devotion to service. She was known not only for her professionalism but also for the warmth and encouragement she brought to every interaction, lifting the spirits of those in her charge with grace and patience.
She is survived by her beloved son, Brandon Ezell; her brothers, James Ezell and Thomas Ezell; and her sisters, Teresa Coffey and Ella Ezell. Jacklyn’s family was a central part of her life, and she cherished the bonds she shared with each of them. Though the sorrow of her passing weighs heavily on their hearts, her family holds dear the memories of her loving nature and enduring strength.
Jacklyn was preceded in death by her father, T.V. Cruthirds, and her mother, Martha Woodard, whose legacies she carried forward with pride and honor. Her life was a continuation of their love and values, reflected in every act of kindness and perseverance she demonstrated.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at Bryant Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Big Creek, MS, where friends and family will gather to remember the remarkable woman she was.
Jacklyn Ezell’s passing marks the loss of a compassionate caregiver and cherished member of her community. Her legacy of empathy, strength, and dedication will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and impact remain eternal in the hearts of her loved ones.
