George Berry Strong

It is with our profound sadness that we announce the passing of George Berry Strong, 67, who transitioned from this life on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Regional One Health in Memphis, TN. He was born on December 10, 1957, to the late Sarah Strong and GB Berry, and he was a beloved father, son, and friend. George is preceded in death by his cherished son, Shantelle Walker. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his two sons, George Allen Thomas (wife Daffaney Thompson) and Matthew Tremayne Thompson. He also leaves behind his beloved daughter, Chikeyla Berry, and many family members, friends, and community members who loved and cherished him deeply. George was known for his warm spirit, infectious laughter, and the love he generously shared with everyone around him. He touched many lives and will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  As we mourn the loss of our dear George, our hearts are with all who loved him. We will continue to forever cherish his memories, holding him close in our hearts and lives.  

A celebration of the life for George's will be celebrated each and every day of our lives with memories of those who loved and knew him.  Rest in peace, George Berry Strong. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
