Frank Blanchard, 82, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in his hometown of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Born on February 9, 1944, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Frank’s journey through life was rooted deeply in the community he loved and served.

Frank’s life was marked by dedication, resilience, and a steadfast spirit. Serving honorably in the United States Army, Frank embodied the values of service and commitment, traits that endured throughout his life. After his military service, Frank built a fulfilling career as a maintenance mechanic with Vista. In this role, he was known among colleagues for his integrity, skill, and unflagging work ethic, always willing to lend a helping hand and share his knowledge.

Above all, Frank was a devoted family man. He is survived by his sons, Frederick Blanchard, Frank Blanchard, Jr. and Andrew Johnson, and his daughters, Lashanna Thomas and Elecia Blanchard. His love for his children was unwavering, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments, offering guidance and support in all aspects of their lives. His sister, Louise Jackson, also survives him, cherishing the bond and memories they shared throughout the years.

Frank’s grounded presence and gentle wisdom left a lasting impact on those around him. Friends and family recall his quiet strength, warm smile, and the genuine kindness that defined his interactions. Whether sharing stories, lending support in times of need, or celebrating life’s milestones, Frank’s grace and humility touched countless lives.

Frank will be honored and remembered with a visitation on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ebernezer Missionary Baptist Church, located at 20257 MS HWY 8 West, Aberdeen, MS 39730. The celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location. Interment will take place at Ebernezer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
