Francis Mae French, 61, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Born on October 16, 1964, in Hamilton, Monroe County, Mississippi, she spent her life dedicated to both her family and her work.
Francis was a former dietary employee at the Care Center of Aberdeen, Mississippi, where her commitment to providing nourishing meals exemplified her caring nature. Over the years, she touched the lives of many, inspiring those around her with her friendly demeanor and compassionate spirit.
She is survived by her brothers, George Holliday and Johnny Earl Jordan, and her sisters, Betty Morgan, Maggie McMillian, and Cernandra Jordan, who will remember her for her loving and supportive character. Francis was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Jordan, Jr., and her mother, Willie Mae Talley-Danner; one nephew, Jessie James Little, Jr.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 40003 Bethel Church Drive in Hamilton, MS, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the same venue.
Francis Mae French’s legacy will continue to live on through the memories shared by those who loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
