Fannie Loyd Clay, 62, born on December 19, 1961, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, left this world on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering love for her family, Fannie’s legacy will endure in the hearts of those she cherished.
Fannie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Allorise Caradine and Clara Everett. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Lee Clay, and her children, Jeremy Loyd, Lakisha Lewis, and Latoya (Markeith) Fields. In addition to her children, she embraced her step-daughter, Carmen Haynes, with open arms. Fannie was also a proud sister to James (Lucinda) Everett, Allie Everett, Regina Doss, and Renita (Rafael) Mitchell; and treasured her role as a grandmother to Jaylon Lewis, Jakiya Lewis, Mekhi Washington, Layla Lewis, Malik Haynes, Cameran Williams, Pashian Haynes, and Madelyn Harrison.
A visitation to honor Fannie Loyd Clay will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Fannie will be remembered not only for her loving nature but also for the profound impact she had on her family and friends. Her warm smile and generosity of spirit will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
