Elizabeth Vance, 68, a cherished member of the Aberdeen community, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Born on August 2, 1957, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, MS, Elizabeth lived a life marked by devotion to her family and a steadfast connection to her roots.

Elizabeth’s journey from her birth in Aberdeen to her final days in the same city reflects a deep bond to the region and its people. Known lovingly by those close to her, she was a woman of remarkable strength and grace, admired by many who valued her kindness and unwavering support.

She is survived by her sons: Curtis (Kimberly) Lyons and Brian (Jessica) Lyons, who carry forward her legacy with pride and love. Elizabeth’s family circle extends warmly to her daughters: Angela (Randy) Blanchard, Shaketa Harrison, Lakina Lyons, and Nicole Lyons. Her brothers, David Lyons, Joe Louis Lyons, Willie (Dorothy) Lyons, and Marshall Robinson, stand beside her, sharing in the remembrance of a beloved sibling. Additionally, Shirley (Bobby) Cater and Earnestine (David) Key remain part of her enduring support network.

Elizabeth’s parents, Willie D. Lyons and Annie Beth Stephenson, preceded her in death, along with two brothers and one sister whose memories remain treasured by the family.

A visitation to honor Elizabeth’s memory will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. The visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Family), followed by an additional hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Public). A Celebration of Life for Elizabeth will begin on Saturday, April 18, 2026, starting at 2:00 p.m. at Belle Memorial Funeral Home. This gathering will provide a meaningful opportunity for family, friends, and community members to commemorate Elizabeth’s life and legacy.

Elizabeth Vance’s passing leaves a profound void, yet her spirit endures through the love of her family and the many lives she touched. Her story is one of dedication, familial love, and the quiet strength that defines a life well-lived. She will be remembered with respect, honor, and gratitude by all who knew her.
