Edward G. Moore, 67, born on January 2, 1959, in Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 9, 2026, in Cedar Bluff, Clay County, Mississippi. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion that will resonate within the hearts of all who knew him.

Edward was the beloved son of Carl Moore and Virgie Gates. His nurturing spirit was evident in the way he approached his family and life. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his wife, Dorothy Guines - Moore, and his children: Jarvis Moore, Edward Moore, Glenn Chandler, Darika Moore, and Daniel Moore. Edward was undeniably proud of his daughters, Arkeria Mitchell, Victoria Moore, and Yolanda Moore, and took great joy in his role as a father and grandfather.

Throughout his life, Edward found great pleasure in the simple joys of fishing and hunting, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and fostered treasured memories with loved ones. He was known for his gentle demeanor and respectful ways, touching the lives of many in his community.

Edward's family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Bryan Union Hall, located at 280 Lewis O'dneal Road, West Point, MS, where a Celebration of Life will take place. The event will begin at 11:00 AM.
