Eddie Charles Stewart, 75, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Cedars-Sinai Tarzana medical Center in Tarzana, California, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on September 4, 1948, in Hamilton, Monroe County, Mississippi, Eddie was the son of the late James O. Stewart and Maggie G. Troupe. He was preceded in death by one son, Marcellus Allen; and one daughter, Vedetta Dowd.  He also had a close-knit family that included his late brother Harry Stewart and sister Isabella Stewart.

Eddie's journey began in the heartland of Mississippi where he grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of his family. He possessed a strong work ethic from a young age and always carried himself with kindness and compassion.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, and his service to his country in the United States Army, Eddie's was united in marriage to his wife, Faye Brown-Stewart. 

Eddie had the privilege of being a wonderful father to his children:  Alonzo Sweatt, Anthony Charles Thomas, Zsa-Tonya Brown Stewart, and Nyi-Shawn Brown. Eddie was steadfast in providing guidance and support to his children.

The loss of Eddie leaves a void not only within his immediate family but also within the hearts of extended family members and close friends who held him dear. Arthur J. Stewart was not just Eddie's brother but also his trusted confidant - someone with whom he shared countless memories filled with laughter and camaraderie. Gloria Wilson was an adored sister who experienced life's ups and downs alongside Eddie, providing solace and understanding during challenging times.

Eddie's impact extended far beyond his family circle. His kind and generous nature touched the lives of many, earning him numerous loyal friendships that endured over the years. Each person who had the privilege of knowing Eddie will forever remember his warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine interest in their well-being.

A visitation to honor Eddie's memory will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects and share cherished memories of a life well-lived.

On Saturday, November 25, 2023, a funeral service will be held at the same location - Belle Memorial Funeral Home - starting at 12:00 PM(Noon). This solemn occasion will be an opportunity for all who knew Eddie to come together in remembrance and gratitude for the profound impact he made on their lives.
