Earnest Ewing, 84, born on April 12,1939, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in his hometown of Prairie, Mississippi. He was surrounded by his loved ones in his final moments. Earnest will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who knew him as a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished member of the community.

Born and raised in Prairie, Mississippi, Earnest was the beloved son of the late Tom Ewing and the late Annie Lee Larkin. Growing up in a close-knit family, he learned the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity that would shape his life ahead. These qualities would become the foundation of his character as he made a lasting impact on those around him.

As a young man, Earnest met the love of his life, Dorothy Opal Hill Ewing. United in holy matrimony, they embarked on a remarkable journey together characterized by unwavering support and unconditional love. Their bond stood as a testament to the power of commitment and partnership. Dorothy finds solace in knowing she shared decades of cherished memories with her beloved husband.

The first is a visitation, which will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on  Friday, January 12, 2024, at Belle Memorial Funeral Home located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and loved ones to offer their condolences and support during this difficult time.

The second event is a funeral service scheduled for Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Baptist Grove MB Church located at 10024 Baptist Grove Road in Prairie, Mississippi. The service will begin at 12:00 PM. This ceremony will serve as a beautiful tribute to Earnest's life and the impact he had on the lives of others.
