Dorothy Ann Gordon

Dorothy Ann Gordon, 62, a cherished member of the Amory community, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Amory, MS. Born on June 6, 1962, in Moultrie, Colquitt County,  Georgia, Dorothy graced the lives of those around her with her warmth and kindness.

She is survived by her beloved children, James Gordon II and Patrice Jackson, as well as her dear brother, Surry Collins. Dorothy was also deeply loved by her sisters, Mary Louise Barrentine and Cynthia Collins, who shared countless memories with her throughout their lives.

Dorothy was predeceased by her father, Alexander Collins, and her mother, Mary Lou Hudson, who instilled in her the values of compassion and resilience that she carried throughout her life.

A visitation to honor Dorothy’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. Friends and family are invited to come together to share their love and memories of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.

Dorothy’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
