With deep respect and loving memory, we announce the passing of Dewayne Jones, 49, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Born on July 31, 1976, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, Dewayne’s time among us was marked by devotion to family and an unwavering spirit that touched all who knew him.
Dewayne was the beloved son of Annie Louise Paine Jones and the late Jessie Jones. His roots remained deeply connected to the community of Aberdeen, where he spent his formative years and developed the values that shaped his life. Dewayne was part of a large and caring family, upheld by strong familial bonds that sustained and inspired him throughout the years.
He is survived by his devoted children: his son Jamarques Whitfield, and his daughters Kierra Jones, Destini Jones, and Corianna Jones. Dewayne’s love for his children was steadfast and enduring, a guiding example of commitment and generosity. The family is further blessed by the presence of his granddaughter, Alijah Griffin, who brought him much pride and joy.
Dewayne is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Annie Louise Paine Jones, who provided him with guidance and unwavering support. His siblings—brothers Jerry Jones, Darren Jones, and Travis Jones, as well as his sister Jessica Jones-Sacus—share countless cherished memories and will miss his companionship dearly. Dewayne’s father, Jessie Jones, preceded him in death, and together their memories form an enduring legacy.
Throughout his life, Dewayne was known for his fortitude, kindness, and willingness to support and encourage those around him. He faced life’s challenges with resilience and a generous heart, creating a legacy of love and friendship that extends far beyond his immediate family.
