Descome Blanchard

It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Descome Blanchard, 79, who departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Born on September 14, 1946, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, Descome’s life was one marked by dedication, love, and enduring strength.

Descome was a beloved father and cherished member of his community. He is survived by his sons Deante Blanchard, Devante Blanchard, and Travis Morris, as well as his daughters Mercades Doss and Nedra Clay. These close family bonds reflected the fabric of his life and the many ways he touched those around him. He was predeceased by his mother, Dennis Mae Blanchard, whose memory he carried with him throughout his years.

Family, friends, and all who knew Descome are invited to honor his life and legacy during a visitation on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. The following day, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Daniel Missionary Baptist Church, 1516 South Matubba Street, Aberdeen, MS 39730, beginning at 1:00  PM.

Descome Blanchard’s journey was one of quiet dignity and unwavering commitment. As we gather to remember him, we honor his contributions, his spirit, and the profound impact he had on his family and community. May his memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who were fortunate to know him.
