Curtis Lee Stegall, 87, a cherished father, and friend, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Born on May 30, 1937, in Smithville, Monroe County, Mississippi, Curtis was a true son of the South whose warm spirit touched the lives of many.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Leola Jackson, who instilled in him values of kindness, integrity, and compassion—qualities that defined his character. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Easter Gilleylen Stegall.
Curtis’s life was a testament to resilience and dedication. He embraced each day with enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. His commitment to his family and community showcased the very essence of his being.
The community is invited to gather and honor Curtis’s life during visitation, which will take place on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Mount Zion Church Of God In Christ on Saturday, November 30, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM.
