Curley Howard, Jr.

Curley Howard, Jr., 90, of Aberdeen, Mississippi, passed away on September 1, 2026, in Aberdeen. He was born on September 6, 1935, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, and spent a long life rooted in the community that was both his birthplace and his home.

Mr. Howard will be remembered with love by his family and by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons, Lilton Howard and Daron Cunningham. He also leaves behind his daughters, Peggy Hall and her husband Gary, Daisie Howard, Loretta Jackson, Judy Moore, Elaine Straughter, Valerie Gardner and her husband Kent, Barbara Nathan, and Sherita Cunningham. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Joe Lee Howard, and his sister, Annie Sue Jones. His family carries forward his memory with gratitude, and his life remains a lasting part of theirs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curley Howard, Sr., and his mother, Marie McMillian.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Daniel Missionary Baptist Church, 1516 South Matubba Street, Aberdeen, Mississippi 39730. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery, Whitfield Street, Aberdeen, Mississippi 39730.
