Curley D. Drake, Sr.

Curley D. Drake, Sr. 71, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Diversicare in Ripley, MS. He was born on March 17, 1954, in Prairie, Monroe County, MS, to the late Johnny Drake, Sr. and Georgia Strong.

Curley dedicated much of his life to his work in the assembly department at Navistar, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. His colleagues respected him, and his contributions to the team left a lasting impact on many.

He is survived by his three sons, Curley Drake, Jr.( April Baskett-Drake),  William Drake, and Kenny Drake; and his daughter, Carrie Drake, along with his brother, Johnny Drake. Curley's family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Family) at Belle Memorial Funeral Home located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS. Following this, a (Public) visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lake Grove Missionary Baptist Church, located at 13546 Lake Grove Rd., Prairie, MS. This event will honor the memory of Curley, highlighting the love and joy he brought into the lives of those around him.

Curley D. Drake's, Sr. spirit will live on through the memories shared by his family and friends. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the warmth he brought to every relationship.
