Mr. Charlie Clark of Smithville, age 71 died Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Tupelo at the Golden Living Center.

Mr. Charlie Leon Clark was born in Smithville,MS on July 18,1941 to the late Mr. Marvin Clark and Mrs Idora Glenn Clark. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Church of God in Christ.

He departed this life on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Golden Living Nursing Center in Tupelo.

He was a factory worker and also worked for MR I D Hancock in Tupelo for many years. He was united in holy matrimony to Vera Mae Acker in 1966. To this union three children were born, Shelia, Teresa and Sherry.

He attended Monroe County Training School, Okolona Jr College and MS Valley State with a math major. He also joined the US Army in 1963. He also received a Vietnam Service Medal.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Dilworth, one brother, Dougla Ray Young and one brother N law, Earl Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Vera M. Clark of Amory,MS; three daughters, Pastor Shelia Howell (Leonard) of Amory; Teresa Woods (Barry)-of Amory,MS and Sherry Clark of Amory, MS; one brother, George Allen Clark(Gloria) of Smithville,MS; one sister, Vina Mae Robinson; seven grandchildren, Marcus, Austin, Aliyah, Hope,Courtney, Barry Jr., and Meghan; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
