Charles Eddie Donaldson, 80, born on June 15, 1946, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026, in his hometown of Aberdeen, MS. Charles lived a life shaped by deep family roots, unwavering commitment to education, and a steady devotion to those he loved and served.

Charles was the beloved son of Will Donaldson and Phenia Hale, both of whom preceded him in death. Raised in Aberdeen, his early years developed in him a thoughtful steadiness and profound sense of responsibility. These qualities would later define both his personal life and his vocation.

Education and teaching were lifelong passions for Charles. He dedicated part of his career to enriching young minds as a teacher in the Noxubee County School District. Through his work, he influenced the lives of countless students, always striving to instill knowledge, curiosity, and integrity. Charles took pride in seeing his students progress, always hoping his efforts would spark lifelong learning in others.

Charles is survived by his loving son, Christopher Donaldson, and his devoted sister, Laura Carothers, both of whom cherish fond memories and lasting gratitude for his guidance and support throughout their lives. Family and friends are invited to honor Charles’s memory during a visitation to be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, 216 Hwy 25 South, Aberdeen, MS. A Celebration of Life service will take place the following day, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, 10053 Hale Quarters Road, Aberdeen, MS. Following the service, Charles will be laid to rest at Lakeside on Hale Quarters Road, Aberdeen, MS.
