Cereise Watson, 75, born on April 7, 1950, in Woodland, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Regional One Health Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
Cereise's life journey began in the heart of Mississippi, where she was nurtured by her parents, Juitte and Jurlie Watson, who have preceded her in death. She grew to be a cherished woman, a devoted mother, and a beloved member of her community.
She is survived by her children: Tammie Watson of Okolona, Mississippi; Mario Watson, Sr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Bobby M. Watson, Sr. of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Mario O. Watson, Jr., Mi'Assisa Watson, Bobby M. Watson, Jr., Tameka Watson, and Briana Watson, as well as her five great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years. Cereise also shared a special bond with her bonus child, Janice Washington.
Among the close family members who remain are her siblings Denise, Brenda Lee, Rachelle Watson, Dametta Watson, and David Watson. She was also dearly loved by a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom hold treasured memories of her kindness and spirit.
The family will hold a viewing/Memorial Service to honor Cereise's memory on Friday, April 3, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, Mississippi.
Cereise Watson’s passing is a profound loss to all who knew her. Through her children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family, her memory will endure as a beacon of love and strength. She will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to her family, and the enduring impact she made in their lives.
May her soul rest in peaceful remembrance, and may those she loved find comfort in the legacy she leaves behind.
