Barry Boyce Hubbard, 66, born on January 26, 1959, in Aberdeen, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital ~ GT in Columbus, Mississippi. A dedicated member of his community, Barry worked in the past with the Aberdeen Housing Authority, where he earned the respect and admiration of many for his commitment to helping others.
Barry proudly served his country in both the United States Army and the National Guard, exemplifying a spirit of duty and patriotism that will always be remembered by those who knew him. His life was marked by a deep sense of responsibility and a strong desire to support those around him.
He leaves behind a loving family, which includes his sons: Thomas Lamar Hubbard, Orwrento Corvanteze Orr, Barry Boyce Hubbard, Jr., and Jeremy Hubbard; his stepson, Damien Carr; his daughter, Delisa Thomas; and his stepdaughter, Justine Carr. Barry is also survived by his brothers, Kenny (Joylee) Gathing and Wavery Hubbard, who will carry forward his legacy.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Volney Hubbard, and his mother, Audrey Mae McAlister. He also mourned the loss of his brother, Larry Shannon, as well as his sisters, Viola Sims and Mildred Shannon. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of his family.
A visitation to honor Barry will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, Aberdeen, MS. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location beginning at 12:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate his life and the impact he had on those around him.
Barry Boyce Hubbard's memory will live on through the love of his family and friends, whose lives he touched with his kindness and unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed.
