Anthony Sims

Anthony Sims, 65, of Aberdeen, Mississippi, passed away on September 30, 2026, at Diversicare in Amory, Mississippi. He was born on April 9, 1961, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi.

Anthony will be remembered with love by those closest to him. He is survived by his son, Victor Harrison; his mother, Virginia Watkins; his brothers, Charles Blanchard and Manual Watkins; and his sisters, Carolyn Anderson, Mary Easterling, Wanda Matthews, and Lashell Gregory. He was preceded in death by his father, James Sims.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Anthony at a memorial service on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 335 North Franklin Street, Aberdeen, Mississippi 39730. A reception and repast will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
