Anna Jean Meadows, 78, a cherished member of her community and beloved by her family, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Diversicare in Amory, Mississippi. Born on February 17, 1946, in Amory, Monroe County, Mississippi, she touched the lives of many throughout her 78 years.
Anna was a devoted wife to L.D. Meadows, and a loving mother to her sons, D W. Dilworth, Sr., Shawn C. Dilworth, and Geoffrey S. Dilworth. She also leaves behind two daughters, Jacqueline D. Ivory and Keesha A. Dilworth, whose lives she filled with love and guidance.
Throughout her life, Anna showcased her creativity and passion for scrapbooking, an art form that allowed her to preserve precious memories both for herself and her loved ones. Her dedication to family was evident in everything she did, and she took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
A proud member of the Order of Eastern Star, Royal Court #30, Anna embodied the values of community service and sisterhood, leaving a legacy of compassion and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Dilworth and Zula McCowan, whose memories she cherished dearly.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 807 108th St., Amory, MS 38821. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at McGlown Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, beginning at 1:00 PM, at 601 111th Street, Amory, MS 38821.
Anna Jean Meadows’ warmth, love, and dedication will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
