Albert McMillian, 75, affectionately known as "Lil Albert," was born on May 16, 1949, in Mississippi. He departed from this world on  Friday, April 25, 2025, in Aberdeen, MS, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family and friends.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Albert served his country with honor before embarking on a lengthy career that would see him make significant contributions to his community. He spent 33 years at Bryan Foods in West Point, MS, where his dedication and commitment were evident. Later, he embraced a new chapter in his life as a truck driver for Comer Packing Company, demonstrating both his versatility and his unwavering work ethic.

Albert was not only defined by his career but also by the relationships he cherished throughout his life. He is survived by his niece, Rhonda Gayle Johnson Gathings; great-nephew, Malcolm Javelle Gathings; and great-niece, Alicia Jalana Gathings, who shares a bond with her husband, Kevin. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his special friend, Cynthia Moses, who shared in the joys of life with him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Albert Williams and Rebecca Ware McMillian, and his brothers, James McMillian, Jr. and Earnest McMillian. Their memories will forever be held close by Albert’s family, reminding them of the strong familial ties that were so important to him.

Albert’s life will be honored during a visitation on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 PM, both held at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, MS.

He leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories and enduring love. Albert McMillian's impact on those around him will be felt for years to come, as they carry forward his spirit and the lessons he imparted.
